The Virtuoso Society

The Virtuoso Society recognizes those who contribute to the Symphony endowment, either with outright gifts of cash or by remembering the Symphony in their estate plans. Your endowment pledge ensures the Symphony's ability to provide great music and music education for both children and adults in San Luis Obispo County. When you give, you join a select group of patrons who have designated the Symphony in their estate, or plan a substantial endowment donation in their lifetime. Either way, if you contribute, we want to honor and celebrate your foresight now!

Special Funds
Within The Virtuoso Society, certain funds have been established with a specific purpose in mind. Individuals may designate their gifts to these Special Funds or simply make their gift to the Virtuoso Society as a whole. These funds are as follows:

Michael Nowak 20th Anniversary Legacy Fund
In honor of Michael Nowak's 20th year with the orchestra, the Symphony Board of Directors announces the creation of the Michael Nowak Legacy Society as part of the San Luis Obispo Symphony Endowment. The goal of this fund will be to raise two million dollars in legacy pledges and donations to honor our Maestro upon his 20th anniversary in 2004. Legacy pledges begin at $20,000.

President's Fund For Music Education
Established upon the 40th Anniversary of the Symphony to provide opportunities for the continuing education of our musicians.

Music For The Millennium
These funds have been given in trust to support Symphony Music Education activities in perpetuity.

Founding Funds
Throughout the Symphony's history, significant memorial donations have been given in honor of beloved individuals.
