Support the Symphony
Why Support the Symphony?

Ticket sales are not enough to fund the performances the Symphony orchestrates each year. We are not only in the business of making great music; we are in the business of enriching lives for residents of all ages across San Luis Obispo County. The Symphony brings friends and family together for Pops by the Sea, provides a broader musical perspective to county youngsters with music education programs, and presents the best music to you free of charge at No Ties Allowed! Free Dress Rehearsals. If you’re looking for a sound investment, look no further than the Symphony.

It is a little-known fact that subscription and single ticket sales account for less than 30% of the cost of bringing music to our community. For the remainder, we must rely on support from businesses, corporations, foundations, and most importantly ... YOU!

Nationwide, it is individuals who make up the largest percentage of philanthropic giving in our country, not big business and corporations.  Our country thrives because people work together to make things happen in their communities, and the Symphony is no different.  It is through the generosity of members of our community that the Symphony has celebrated 50 wonderful years, and now looks to how it can build and maintain the next 50 years.

There are many ways that you can make music happen in San Luis Obispo County – you can volunteer with the Symphony, serve as a Board member, sponsor a concert, sponsor a musician, become a member of the Virtuoso Society through your estate planning, become a season ticket subscriber, support the music education programs, join the Angeli di Musica Sponsors, and so many other opportunities to become involved!

Please consider investing in your community, and support the San Luis Obispo Symphony today. For more information, please call Leslie McKinley at (805) 543-3533,ext. 14 or e-mail leslie@slosymphony.com
